Applying decals to the side of a fuselage on an aeroplane is a task that many find tricky.  The tilted fuselage parts of the Model Support System are designed to ease this task though others have identified that it may also aid painting of aeroplanes.

A base unit holds two adjustable uprights that lift and support the fuselage.  One of the wings is then rotated down and lightly held within a wing support thus turning the fuselage and presenting the side of it in a more horizantal manner.

The stand is supplied in modular format so you only purchase the parts that you need.

Suggested Configurations

Small & Medium Aeroplanes

Smaller aircraft in 1:72 and 1:48 will probably fit onto a single base unit combined with the Small & Medium Supports.  For this you will need the following parts

MSS- Base

MSS - Short Extension or MSS - Long Extension

MSS - Wing Support

MSS - Small & Medium Tilted Fuselage Supports

Larger Aircraft

For larger aircraft such as 1:32 or 1:72 heavy bombers then the following parts are suggested :

2 x MSS-Base

MSS Connector

MSS - Short Extension or MSS - Long Extension

MSS - Wing Support

MSS - Large Tilted Fuselage Supports

Customer feedback indicates that a 1:32 Spitfire requires a medium setup.

During development the large configuration was tested with a 1:72 Blohm & Voss BV222 and a 1:24 Spitfire.  

Further Extra Large Supports will be in development.

A pair of larger, reinforced supports.  During development these have been used to support a Revell 1:72 Blohm und Voss BV222 Wiking and an Airfix 1:24 Spitfire.

Self adhesive neoprene is provided to protect models placed on the stand.

Approxiamate wing spans catered for 320mm - 640mm
